PHYSIOLOGICS CHOOSES O.BERK FOR NEW PACKAGING

RONKONKOMA, NY & UNION, NJ – PhysioLogics® has chosen O.BERK Company to revitalize the packaging for its line of high quality vitamins and supplements sold exclusively through healthcare professionals. PhysioLogics produces over 200 products, with state-of-the-art controls of the highest standards in both the lab and manufacturing environments. Their supplements are used for a variety of health reasons including cardiovascular, digestion, joint, vision and bone support.

For over 20 years, this line was packaged in white high-density polyethylene wide-mouth rounds, similar to many products in this industry. To differentiate this high quality line in a highly competitive marketplace, and to become more environmentally friendly PhysioLogics, with O.Berk’s guidance, switched to wide-mouth rounds in cobalt blue glass, which is non-leaching, non-porous and odorless. To complete the brand transformation, new labels were designed and produced complementing the cobalt blue glass bottles.

The unique aspect of their packaging solution was the unishell silver metal cap with an embossed logo and heat seal liner, which provides one level of tamper-evidence. (A cellophane band provides the other). This marks the first time that this process has been accomplished, taking nearly a year to produce the type of metal closure and liner that was required to meet PhysioLogics’ high quality standards.
