Acid Etching
One of the most beautiful decoration techniques, acid etching allows an engraved look. This technique is achieved by covering the glass with an acid-resistant substance, such as wax, into which a design is scratched. The object is then immersed in acid, (generally hydrofluoric acid) which etches the design into the exposed areas of glass.
